An eight-month internship at a civil engineering firm. I owned the front-end work and the operational side of keeping projects running.
burocite.nl- Built responsive front-end pages with WordPress (Divi), HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Made interfaces that were easy to use and looked the part, with the user experience as the priority.
- Wrote structured project plans that left room to re-optimise, so we didn't have to restart the whole build every time something changed.
- Set up regular backups to avoid losing data and keep things secure.
- Kept projects stable and running across every phase, not just at the end.
- Got my hands dirty with Docker and took my first steps into containers.

My first proper internship. Front end to start with, then backend features that actually ran in production.
- Built front-end web pages with WordPress, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Wrote backend features in PHP, including automatic PDF generation and sending email.
- Got a lot better at picking up new tools quickly and actually using them in production.
